mistEO exists because the institutions that run the world (governments, defense forces, multilateral bodies, industry) cannot act on the atmosphere from a weather app.
Everything we do is a function of weather.
mistEO began with a simple observation: every operational decision of consequence (what a farmer sows, what a feedlot feeds, when a grid trades, where a mission flies) is already a function of weather. It is just rarely acted on as one.
Public forecasts stopped improving at the pace industry needed. Models existed, but not the framework to turn them into decisions. That is the space mistEO occupies: models (Indra), a framework (FIR), and the decision layer on top (CDI).

Benchmark in public.
We evaluate every Indra model against the best available public baseline. We publish the results, wins and losses.
Signal over story.
Our job is to turn signal into decision. Narrative is for press releases; decisions need calibration.
Sovereignty is not a feature.
Defense and government users should never have to choose between performance and data sovereignty. Our architecture refuses the trade-off.
Build for the operator.
The livestock manager at 4 a.m. is our north star. If a product does not make their morning easier, we re-build it.
